In Loving Memory of Dr. Smith
Dr. Smith was more than an exceptional eye care provider—he was the heart of The Optical Shop. His warmth, kindness, and dedication to his patients made a lasting impact on everyone he met. He took the time to truly listen, ensuring each person felt cared for and valued.
Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the practice he built and the lives he touched. We will continue to honor his memory by providing the same compassionate, high-quality care he was known for.
Dr. Smith will always be a part of The Optical Shop, and he will forever be in our hearts.
Dr. Dane Kuplicki
Dr. Dane Kuplicki is a native Floridian, born and raised in South Pinellas County. He received a degree in finance and pre-med from the University of South Florida, and earned his doctorate in optometry from Indiana University’s School of Optometry (c/o 2017). He enjoys establishing ongoing relationships with his patients and utilizing the latest technology to provide them with the best care, tailored to their individual visual needs.
Dr. Dane lives with his wife, Nina, son, Cade, and daughter, Dani, in Seminole. In his free time, Dr. Kuplicki enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing ice hockey, fishing, working out, and volunteering in the community. He is an avid Tampa Bay sports fan and loves following our local teams.
Anita Smith
Optical Manager
Anita began her career in eye care alongside Dr. Smith 30 years ago, but soon took a break to focus on raising and homeschooling her children. During this time, she also ran a successful home daycare, nurturing the next generation. Now, three decades later, Anita has returned to the office with a renewed passion for eye care. She finds joy in nature, especially at the beach in Gulfport, and treasures time spent with her family, particularly her two grandsons and her husband.

Irene has been enjoying her career in optical for over 30 years. She loves helping people find the perfect eyewear. Her years of experience have made her proficient in lens and frame selection providing her patients with the best eyewear to fit their needs. A Jersey native, she migrated to beautiful sunny Florida six years ago. An avid connoisseur of culinary delights and sunsets in her free time keeps her smiling.
David
Optical Associate
David aims to enhance the quality of life of his neighbors by improving their sight. He has more than six years experience in the optical industry and finds the work engaging and fulfilling. David is from Florida and loves exploring all the natural beauty the state has to offer. He is passionate about eating well and spends much of his time gardening and cooking.
